Installation for Debian/Ubuntu Linux Users on x86

Download the sheltermanager-2.3.5_i386.deb file from the download area.
Install it, either by double-clicking the .deb file in your file manager, using Synaptic, or by running
```
dpkg -i sheltermanager-2.3.5_i386.deb
```
as root at a terminal.

You are ready! Either start ASM from the Application Menu icon, or enter "asm" at a terminal to start.

Hit Ok when prompted for a database to use the local one, and then log in with the default user - username "user", password "letmein". The first thing you should do is create user accounts for yourself and your staff under System->Edit System Users.
